A bulb inserted in the groove of the Coddington lens illuminates the object being examined. Requires two AA batteries (not included). 10x power 1"/2.5 cm focal distance 40 diopters 19.8 mm lens diameter.
The lens used in a Coddington magnifier is made from a single piece of the highest quality optical glass. A Coddington lens is shaped like an hour-glass inside, and it is this feature that makes the Coddington magnifier so effective at achieving distortion-free magnification, even at the periphery of the magnifier. The Coddington Magnifier is especially well-suited to use outdoors where its single-piece-all-optical-glass-construction makes it impervious to humidity and extremes of temperature.
